Beautiful traditional Belgian house in a safe, quiet area very close to the historic centre of Bruges.

Cable TV & Wireless internet connection.

All of the treasures of the city are within walking distance. Wander the mediaeval streets alongside the quiet canals, drink the best beer in the World in the welcoming pubs. Eat in some of the best and reasonably priced restaurants.

The centre of Bruges is now protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. The city was also the European City of Culture in 2002.
Area Description
Bruges is an ideal base for touring a large area of Belgium, northern France, southern Netherlands and western Germany.

The historic, compact centre of Bruges (Brugge in Flemish) has been described as the 'Venice of the North'. There are countless fine bars and restaurants. History is all around, not just within the town - to the South are the World War I and World War II battlefields of the Western Front, in Southern Belgium and Northern France.

Bruges is good for kids. Our youngest kids are 10 and 12. We know all about the Dolphinarium, walking on the sandy beaches on the coast (11km from Brugge). Many, many fantastic seafood restaurants on the coast.

London is 3 hours away, Paris 2 hours, Germany 2 hours, Amsterdam 2 and a half hours.

Our house is on a quiet, safe street only a few minutes walk from the focal centre of Bruges. Our neighbours are friendly and will look after you during your stay.
Transport
A car is not necessary
Bruges railway station is 1 mile. A bus can drop you 10m from our front door. You can walk on a nice day, short taxi ride if you are tired or if it is raining. Main Brussels airport is 1 hours drive. Walking and cycling are popular because the town and the surrounding countryside are so flat.

With regard rental - we can accomodate short stays (weekends, midweek breaks), longer hires (1 - 3 weeks) or long-term hire (3 months - 6 months).
